Takara Sake USA, Berkeley tasting room
QR welcome page, tasting journal, AI sommelier chat, staff app, guest memory, check-in alerts, AI lead scoring
AI-drafted follow-up emails the manager approves; removing a guest’s memory on request
The problem
Guests tell the bar what they loved, what they need and what they’re planning. All of it is gone when they walk out, so follow-up is generic, or never happens.
What we built
- A QR welcome page: no app, no password. Guests say who they are and agree to be remembered.
- A tasting journal: each pour is logged as loved, liked or not for me, with a “what should I try next?” button.
- An AI sommelier chat for pairing and serving questions, with voice input and spoken replies.
- A staff app: who’s at the bar, what they loved, what to pour, and today’s note.
- One memory per guest, so recall never mixes people up, plus a check-in alert and AI lead scoring.
Nothing sends without a person
The next step drafts a personal follow-up from what the guest actually said, and the manager approves or edits it before anything goes out.
